The Sony WH-CH400 are lightweight by design and come with ear pads rather than ear cups. The difference is that while ear cups tend to cover the ears for a more immersive audio experience, the ear pads just sit on top the ear comfortably. The design is such that you can keep it on for hours at a stretch and not worry about it weighing down on your ears.
